WELI Membership Types
Protégés are anesthesiologists in SPA that have self-nominated or been nominated by a leader. Protégés should have aspirations and potential to pursue and achieve career advancement, promotion and/or leadership positions in pediatric anesthesiology, including in areas of clinical excellence, administration, research, education, and other areas.
A WELI advisor is an individual who has a history of successful mentoring in their area of interest/expertise and who may have achieved a leadership position(s). Specific skill sets, interests, and areas of expertise will vary among advisors, as will the goals of the protégés. WELI strives to connect advisors and protégés who are in similar career paths. Importantly, we work to help establish advisor-protégé relationships in which the advisor’s strengths support the protégé’s career development goals. Advisors volunteer their time, and each advisor is committed to assisting anesthesiologists achieve career advancement, promotion and leadership.
