Hello and welcome to the YouTube channel Women of Impact in Anesthesiology! My name is Allison Fernandez I am a pediatric anesthesiologist, pain medicine physician, clinical researcher, mother, wife, the creator and host of a series of video interviews titled Women of Impact in Anesthesiology. I started feeling stress, burnout and unfulfilled by my academic career. Through these conversations I found hope and guidance. I began to seek out other female anesthesiologist to learn how they overcame and flourished in the burden of such a busy career.
The interviews highlight women leaders in anesthesiology such as Linda Mason, Jane Fitch, Mary Dale Peterson, Beverly Philip, Cynthia Wong, Roberta Hines and Collen Koch to name a few. We talk about their experience with leadership development, mentoring, gender bias, work life balance and much more. Through their unique experiences, they provide insight and advice that is relative to all anesthesiologists at any point in their career.
